Default overfilled power steering unit
put too much power steering fluid in my 81. Should i pull the extra out with a turkey baster. its about half way between hot full and cold full with engine cold

To prevent excess from coming out the vent hole in the cap, remove it.

I would use the turkey baster. Use the dipstick on the cap to set the level.

BTW, do not get caught borrowing the baster from the kitchen 😱

got caught with the kitchen turkey baster. soaked up quite a bit with clean lint free rag. Nice to know there is a vent that it can escape from. It has a slow leak. Reads slightly high now. Hate too waste the expensive LUCAS STOP LEAK.
