1975 AC compressor won't turn off
New member 1st post!! I am new to the Corvette world, bought my 75 3 weeks ago. The AC compressor will not turn off. I read a post on here about someone with a 71 having the same problem and after checking relays and replacing relays under the dash and other things. It turned out to be the contact on the thumb wheel of the controls. My question is should I start with checking/cleaning the contact before ordering new relays and if so how hard is it to remove the AC controls. Also where can I find a diagram of the wires so I can see which wire turns on and off the compressor?

the only relay in the 1976 circuit diagram that I see is for the AC blower not the compressor.

I am just beginning my own learning journey into the A6 Frigidaire compressors and how the system works. Either the clutch coil is getting a constant engage signal or its ignoring a disengage signal. Test the coil to see if it cycles with on/off inputs to rule it out. I believe I saw Youtube videos on how to check this. After that, go backwards from the compressor to the various switches and relays shown in the schematic above. That's the limit of my advice - lots of googling on how to check each component for proper function.
