Default Power window switch wiring

More help help needed. Plugging in my power window switches and looking for help. This is the way I installed the switches.

this is looking up from the bottom so the switch on the right is the L.H. switch

the wiring schematic I have shows L.H. switch up blue, down brown, R.H. switch up brown with white stripe, down blue with white stripe. When I try to pug the harness into the switch it doesn’t line up for those color wires?

does anyone have a picture of the wires plugged into the switches for a 69? Should the harness wires face out towards the side of the console or in towards the parking brake? How was the original set to back is down and forward is up?

when I plug them in I get L.H. switch brown on the up and R.H. switch brown with white stripe on the up? Are my switches installed backwards? That was the orientation from Willcox.

also excuse any typing errors. I got so frustrated (this post vanished on me four times now) that I smashed my iPad in the garage and broke the keyboard! This quarantine in NY is starting to get to me.

That picture must be a later version (78+??)
Your wiring is the came colors as mine (72) and sound correct
but anyway the orientation looks the same, long one is the common pin, goes to the center of the cloverleaf on the connector
My wires fed out away from the parking brake and forward on the drivers side (IIRC)
There is a metal tab to prevent the switch from going the wrong way but it's easy to miss and put them the other way around. That said I like forward/down back/up.

Thanks. I reinstalled them and the picture I show above seems to be the right orientation because they really only go in one way. I plugged them in that way and will see when I eventually throw a battery in!!!! I just need to relax and work slowly. Getting all these center console sections lined up is becoming a chore!!!!

Totally agree, just remember, that parking brake console is the last one to install and yet is the only one that can't move and everything else has to position from it... I wonder what GM was thinking on that one...
