77 stock 350. Mechanical fuel pump.
I had a little issue with the carb I just had done. Took it off and took it back. Guy found a few things I thought were significant. So I put fuel back in. Was planning to (and might still) remove the tank to look for issues in there(is there a bladder?)
anyway, I started it up at idol the pressure reads 2.5. What should it be?
i thought about 5-5.5 ??
So it starts and runs. Drives a few miles dies and after a minute starts and drives a few more miles
the zero pressure is on a gauge I put on the fuel line . It’s local gauge so I can only see it under the hood.

Carter fuel pump's $20 at RA.
You Ensure your hoses at bottom of pump are not kinked and ensure they are correct molded "S" hoses ... wrong hose simply cut from a reel/spool will often kink and that'll starve motor.
CF sponsor WILLCOX has the right S hoses ... maybe pump as well
I replaced the pump. While doing that I noticed a partial crimp in the fuel line. So between all that and the carb issues it got fixed. Runs good now.
Thank for all your input
