What's the year?

The location looks like where the defogger/defroster switch is located on early C3s but that's not a stock, factory switch. Lot of wires though.

Not factory...how could you alarm the vehicle as you depart if the switch is on the console? I mean it could be an alarm of sorts but not for the typical intent of the factory alarm system. It could be an ignition cut-off switch that is, if the vehicle is entered, then power is off. Its not exactly a "secret" switch given its location.

No clue, but think if it were GM, it would have a connector with all the wires in it. Wiring looks aftermarket, and switch looks like a push up, it does something, push down it does something else. Perhaps power antenna up/ down?

i would trace the wires.

Where do the wires run to? That could shed some light on it. Maybe that big NOS bottle in the back?

Traced the wires to the power antenna....that doesn't work.....I'm assuming was to raise and lower the antenna separate from wiring it to the aftermarket radio.

Well that answers your mystery. Although surprise NOS would have been more fun. :-)
