69 dash harness ground problems

69 dash harness ground problems
69 car. I have the wiring in , A few problems I currently have
with the light switch I can turn on the light inside of the shifter console. My rear reverse lights were working. Marker lights and plate light work. Brake lights are not working. , i put in a new switch. I checked the ground inside the cage and its good and clean. If I take a 12v test light And touch an individual light it turns on. But then goes out. Im thinking i have to be missing a ground somewhere. Currently the radio plugs are disconnected. And at the rear lights. Im confused. Do the all the grounds go to the frame or does one of the grounds go to the frame and then ground the light ?

I guess there is also a diagram in the AIM?!
