At least you get to test drive. Consider yourself lucky. I'm in Australia, 1,600 dollar fine for driving around in a "Classic " car. Mine stays up on jackstands.

REALLY! But, in all fairness, we have considerably fewer deaths here in Australia. Still under 100 nation wide.

I can get the Corvette out for trips to the store but it has been raining here for the last month. Sure miss the feeling of blasting off with the top down in the sun. Oh well could be worse...like in Maine right now.

So it’s a $1600 fine for driving under quarantine lock down, not for driving a classic car?

True. But the police here were on the evening news warning us owners of vintage cars in particular, cause they know that there toys. Not grocery getters. Young girl down south thought it would be good to have Mum give her a driving lesson. They didn't stop anywhere. 1,600 dollar fine for "Non essential " travel.
due to the extremely high cost of registration here. Most old cars and Hot-Rods are on "Club Registration ". A fraction of the cost of regular registration. Me included. Club rego saves me over 800 bucks a year. Plates are no different. But when they call it in, or now most police cars have plate recognition cameras/computers, they got you. And a 69 GTO or a Stingray IS going to make them look.

Thank God. Because we all know that driving around in a Vette or a GTO in Australia will cause apocalyptic deaths throughout the world. I'm so glad the Government Authorities are protecting the human race from extinction. What would we do without them..??

A good friend of mine has a 68 Vette. He still wants to use it during the lock down. He had to up his insurance, and pay up for full registration. Cost him over 1,400 bucks to use his 68 convertible to get groceries. Mine sits on jackstands while I do all those little things that I always said, whenIgetaroundtoit. So, now I have a "Round tu it".

Well, if you pay more money to the government to drive it, then the risk of virus transmittal goes down. We all know that. Perfectly reasonable.

If corporations and countries pay more money in green house gas emission fees, they can pollute more, but the global warming effects will go down.

Politicians are medical and technical experts.

Yeah.

Here in Massachusetts, Ive seen motorcycles go past the house in large groups, people out cruising in newer sports cars, corvette, porches, Alfa's, and of course classics of all breeds from a model A's, 50's cruisers, a 70 highboy shortbed, and a few muscle cars. Which is all fine by me because I would be out there with them if my projects were done on my vette (getting real close now). THeres no way you can say we are ricking other folks with Covid by driving around, maybe with reckless driving, but not with spreading disease

During the first few weeks of our shutdown the MA Governor was pissed and said he would institute fines if people didnt stop playing basketball and contact sports or gathering in groups. In one day, at the same time at the school i was still working at, we were essential for no reason, there was a group of women doing yoga on our baseball field, a basketball game, kids in a group on the grass talking in a huddled group, groups walking the track, street hockey on the tennis courts and kids biking and skate boarding like it was vacation. Then a cop cruised through the parking lot and didnt even stop. When he was coming buy the service entrance we asked him why he didnt kick them out? He said he didnt want to get involved. HMMMM, who's in the wrong, people not listening to the Governor or the cop not enforcing the Governors mandate. Freedom and all but the deaths in our area would make you think. At least the social distancing should be observed..... Thats why enjoying a cruise in classic car SHOULD be a thing you can do, you dont come close to anyone, not like shopping in Walmart. THe Poltical Meme page has some good humor on this

Let's see WW1 ended 1918, 17 million killed. Around middle of 1917 the spanish influenza began its estimated 50 million world wide died from it. Within a 1 year time period in the usa it dropped the life expectancy rate by 12 years. Then there was that WW2 thing counting civilians 50 million died. Long before the spanish influenza a thing called the bubonic plague the black death lasted for centuries before it completely went away it killed 25 million and one continent in that time period it killed one out of every three people. The united states has a bit over 330 million people and as of yesterday we have a little over 20,000 deaths from corona virous. China has 1.4, 200 billion people it killed just a few thousand there. We have our whole country partly shut down over this BS. On top of everything else the percentage of people getting well from corona is extremely high compared to deaths. This is the biggest most overated joke in american and world history. Our CDC figures, 2017/2018 flue season killed over 79,000 people. 2018/2019 flue season lasted 21 weeks longest in the last 10 years killed another over 64,000 folks. Hell get out from under the covers the boogie man wont really get you. Lol . 620,000 killed in the civil war. Since that time another 644,000 killed in our wars. Were running around like scared little I dont know what over some virus. Folks have house payments, car payments to make and everything else. Want to lose everything folls have worked for hell let's keep up this silly nonsense. How about a depression like one those that be better for everyone.

I've been out breaking in my new cam and enjoying the lighter traffic. I think like everything government does something started out as a good idea to help stupid people and then went off the rail. Hopefully this will be over soon.
The media are the ones driving this because they are trying to control the narrative.
Those idiots must be dealt with.

Let's see our so called leaders " government " has run up 22 trillion in debt almost all of it in the last 40 years. Guess that's no problem to them there taxation slaves can pay for it. There is to me no such thing as any form of government any good. Our corrupt " ( lobbyest ) " bought and paid for government to me deserves a French qilliteen set up inside the capital square. Problem is there not worth spending that much on. A couple of axes from home depot maybe $50.00 just right for them. Matters not what party. Would not want to have to stop in the middle of things to sharpen an axe, so I think two would be enough. Never forgot my grandmother telling me dont make to much money the government will just tax you more. Politician is just a corrupt liar everytime one speaks a lie comes out there mouth and they fart a lie at the same time. When I go to vote I ask myself which one of these corrupt pieces of crap do I vote for or why I'm I wasting my time doing this.

In closing I'll just say I consider a politician to the lowest form of scum trash on the face of the earth. JP morgan largest bank already saying large increases in loan defaults. That it government your brilliant tell people to stay home and business's to close there operations almost down. Back to technical.

This is bad when i can spend 4 hours in garage just organizing nuts and bolts
I’ve been trying to get in the garage to do more on my Vette. But here in Michigan it’s cold enough to make it not pleasant. But I do agree about 4 hours just organizing the garage.
