Should the ride height change if you install new shocks? I thought the position was set by the springs and the shocks just effected the ride quality. I changed the shocks and the ride height looks a little different to me, but I'm not 100% sure. I've never measured it and I've only had the car a year.
Depending on old worn out shocks..the replacement ac delcos i put on were VERY difficult to compress..so yes..if I couldn’t compress by hand on my back under car..i can for sure push up on the car and move it up by hand easily a half inch..at least in the rear

Think about it. If you can compress the shock with you arms, do you think they will hold up a 3000lb car?
Nope....but I can pickup the front or rear of any car and raise it an inch....so any compression at all will try and help compressed springs out....simple physics.
