Default 68 wire help

Can anyone shed some light on this brown wire by ignition switch. The other end has a stake on connector down by fuse box?

Follow this thread. I believe this is what you're asking about: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...hind-dash.html

thanks for the response. I had a brn/what wire connected the the capacitor. Now I connected the heavy brn wire and have this smaller gauge brn/ what. wire left. Any thoughts?

I think I figured out the smaller brown and white wire. The AIM shows a 18ga. brn/dbl/wht wire going to the wiper over ride switch, now on 7/67 there is a note stating the (dbl) was removed leave the designate wire brn/wht. So I put the heavy brown wire onto the capacitor and the brown and white wire to the over ride switch.

any chance you could check and verify where the other end connects. It has a stake on connection and is located by the fuse box

The solid brown show that it goes to the Fuse box , the ignition swith and the harness connector on the firewall. It may have been cut and that piece added as it looks like a long length of shrink tube or electrical tape on there by the pictures. You may have to pull the fuse box off the wall and check the back, IIRC it bolts right to the harness jack on the firewall so it kind of makes sense. You may see where it cam from. I can take a look at mine tomorrow if you like
