Default Quick question throttle bracket again

Now I'm back working on my friends 76 car and a 4150 installation., and yes I searched the ton of prior posts -
Thanks Photobucket for making all the pictures useless.
He has a brand new GM cable installed, no Qjet, no stock bracket, no nothing.
New 2101 shiny intake manifold. The reflection from his overhead lights is a bit much.

I tried to fit my modified GM bracket and the POS Holley bracket to his setup, and neither one will provide a good WOT pull.
Which is strange because my GM modified bracket pulls just fine on my 2101/Holley SA 670 and GM cable. So something is different, internal cable length maybe.
I'm using the middle hole on the linkage - a straight line back to the bracket.

So he's thinking (for the price at Summit) that a CSR Adjustable Throttle Cable Brackets CSI-630C looks reasonable.
Is anyone using this and did it come with springs? Where do they mount? I can't see it in the pics online.
If you are do you have any pics?
TIA

No the Holley bracket is this one. which does not mount securely.

And the modified GM bracket I have on my Holley SA 670 looks like this.
If you look at your CC link schematic, this is a modified version of the bracket with the long mounting tab that used to go over the PB connection on a Qjet.

Could there be an issue at the gas petal itself....not moving the cable enough?

I thought that at first, but it seems to be ok at pedal.
I really think the cable itself is maybe 3/4" longer than mine.

I think he may be right that he needs to get an adjustable bracket.
He just doesn't want to buy and install another cable or spend $100 for a Lokar setup.

What year is the car?
The bracket I gave you below is correct for a 4150 through 1972

The bracket MelWff is referring to is a factory style for ‘69-‘72 with a Holley carb (I used on on my FiTech when the Qjet style wouldn’t line up correctly. It worked very well). But I believe the cable is actually ‘68-‘73. Not sure what, if any, aftermarket cables it will work with.

My bad I should have said it was a 76 with a 74 engine, not that the engine year makes a difference, because from the heads up it's all aftermarket.
This is my cable, but his is exactly the same, except for the grime.

What I originally asked, before being sidetracked, is if anyone has used the CSR bracket.

Ok, so return springs DO NOT come with that bracket. CSI-630C. Then it's of no use unless I can fab a way to mount the springs on the underside of the bracket.
I better tell my friend that this has become a 2 bottles of single malt job.
Yep save him money on bracket so he can buy good scotch for me.
