Default adjustable strut rod questions

previous owner installed adjustable struts rods (from VBP I think) in my 69 but the camber adjustment washer is still installed and I thought it wasn't needed with the adjustable rods. I read in another thread that these camber adjustment bolts washers tend to move when jolted so should I remove them and just put a bolt in?

Second question the rods are marked left and right at the ends but the driver side one is installed with the "right end" installed to the left does it matter? Wont it still adjust the same just by rotating the rod in the opposite directions?

thanks for all the help on this and the bushings

It looks like that’s the smart strut bracket... which means that instead of camber adjustment (in and out) they are for roll center and camber curve adjustment (up and down).
For a cruiser, just set them both in the middle and forget about it.

As far as right and left markings, I **think** it is to designate the right and left hand threads of the tube. The positioning doesn’t matter.

Mine are old school Guldstrand strut rods I bought back in the 80's. They use a square plate in place of the eccentric to keep the heim in place. I'd see where your camber is now and you can either fab a set up with the hole in the middle or a set that mimics the current inboard bolt location. I'm more curious as to why the cams are in different locations if camber adjustment is done by lengthening/shortening the strut rod.

Thanks to all that replied, vette 427, I relooked all the instructions another forum member sent me and realize that I do have the smart struts

3X2, It looks like the smart struts keep the cam adjustment setup but the standard VPB poly adjustable struts (which I thought the car had) don't use them and use a bolt and square washer, go figure
