I pulled a few plugs and they are getting a little worn. So, what to get?
Car is a '69 427 390 hp with '71 low compression heads. I think it is about 9-1 compression ratio. Everything else is basically stock.
The plugs I've been running are AC R43ts. They seem to work fine.
I'm wondering if this is the correct heat range? Some friends tell me I should run 44 or 45 heat range.
Any thoughts?
If the insulator is white-- too hot. Black, too cold. Tan or gray- just right. 44's wouldn't hurt, that number was pretty standard to about everything.
