I'm new to the Corvette game, I have a stock 82' barn find with 36k miles that i picked up. It runs excellent, but needs to sound better... any advice on mufflers? I'm leaning towards Magnaflow. Anyone have any recommendations?
It has factory OEM duals now and is old enough to forgo emissions testing, so I was thinking of doing the cat delete too.
Sorry for the next ignorant question... is OEM exhaust 2.25 or 2.5"? I cant find the specs anywhere. The tail pipe measures 2.25 OD

being an 82 with a computer I believe you have 02 sensors in the pipes to deal with too... I had an 84 and I know the crossfire intake was a big limiting factor on power upgrades as well as the ecm only liking factory or very mild cams.. changing the exhaust can give you the sound your looking for but I would not expect much as far as a power increase.
