Default Adding larger sway bar radiator clearance 79

My template to cut

New 6 inch bolt with 1 5/8 spacer paragon

Original assumed replaced at one time longer bolt with 2 inch spacer..not so snug

Couple of questions I’m installing a 1 1/8 new gymkhanaquasi clone bar to the front of my 79 7/8 current bar I’m about a papers width from the dewitts aluminum radiator now and I assume with the larger sway bar I will be hitting or touching it my question is number one can I use the lawnmower blade that’s about 7/16 inch thick and cut a template and put a spacer on the bar to get it further away from the radiator and will that be OK with the geometry?

and a question to the current swaybar links that are on there I think Have been replaced with generic longer bolts that stop when the threads ending and with a 2 inch spacer. I bought some poly paragon correct ones that have 6 inch bolts in a 1 5/8 spacer. is the 15/8 spacer the correct ones? I am assuming it’ll fit better because right now it’s kind of leaning like it’s off angle thank you

Think it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Bar is to pass force over to the other side, not to maintain any form of alignment.

Don't know about the spacer height, have VB&P ones myself.

You aren't the first person to talk about radiator clearance...……… I was always wondering why? Are kits wrong these days? I have had this 1 1/8th on since the early 80 on my 79 vette.

I didn't clean up anything for the picture because I broke the nose out racing and was doing body work.

The blocks are forward of the center of balance. I got it to @ 42% front and 58% on the rear tires. The side to side on four corner scales was pretty even jacking the springs

So what does a picture of your clearance look like to the radiator with the inch and 1/8 bar?
I suppose I’ll try it without the spacers first if my bushing ever comes but I have the blocks made as a back up and to provide clearance
