Steeroids twitchy

I've been running a Steeroids setup for a few years and basically its great. I just find the setup is a little bit sensitive and the steering a little 'twitchy'. Not terrible, but I ran across a valve designed to limit the flow to the rack and reduce the sensitivity:

You sure it's not an alignment problem, toe in?

More positive Caster. And equal on both wheels.
A little negative Camber.
Toe In.

Especially caster. Even if you have to change the upper a arms or shafts. 4-5-6 degrees.
Makes the steering heavier too, or at least not so light.

All excellent suggestions. I also changed the wheels on the car about the same time I installed the Steeroids setup. The new wheels have about 1/2" more negative offset which may have affected the handling as well. An alignment might be a good idea. Any suggestions for target specs?

I have a flaming River rack which is designed also for a lower flow rate than the factory GM PS Pump for the C3.

Here is a picture of the before and after. Left is the unit from Turn-One Right is the factory unit.

You can use washers to reduce the pressure its like 20 bucks from borgeson / summit. The problem is the GM pump is putting out about 1200 psi and the rack really wants to be about 8-900. If you arent running a hydro boost for the brakes you can shim it all the way and call it a day.

JMPO I agree with Leigh 1322 you need more caster, have a look at C4's and later vettes they run well over 5 deg of caster. You can shim the pump as others have said and that helps but its the caster that makes the biggest difference. Slotting the mounting holes of the upper A arms will get you around 4.75 deg, more you will need adjustable A arms. I did both of these mods and it took away the twitchy go cart feel of the std steering.

I have the Steeroids rack and pinion too. Mine doesn't feel twitchy, but it isn't as tight as my BMW is. I also have an Ididit column and tubular control arms. I do like how it drives, but I don't think it will ever handle like a Porsche.
Oh and I have had it completely aligned professionally which helped a ton.
