Default VBP rear monoleaf spring help

Does anybody know if there is a replacement part for the rubber pad for the VBP dual mount monoleaf springs.for the brackets that clamp to the middle of the spring?

It looks like the factory ones but I assume its not compatible

Contact van steel, my understanding is that they picked up that line from VBP. I wish someone knew what happened to them. I liked doing business with them.

Hey Monstr, Have those same VBP adjustable leaf clamps on my 71 vert small block, which is not yet running. See you have them mounted fully inboard, and curious if that is what you prefer for the street, or do you race it? Have you had them further outboard, and does it ride too stiff for street cruising? Thanks in advance! Brian

dont race, at least not yet

I have been trying to make sure it’s good to go before opening it up and have been finding all kinds of stuff that wasn’t right And fixing that instead of what I planned to do

it rides pretty hard as it is and I couldn’t imagine making it any stiffer, others have said that might be because of the adjustable shocks that came with the kit but I haven’t checked them yet to see what setting they are on

Had this system close to 20 years and settled on this setting. you are right about the spring being a stiff spring. T

curious about the different left and rights settings is it because you are racing?

have a question about the cam adjustment settings, is it normal for them to be in the same position as yours is as I have seen a few cars like that and because mine aren't?

Had that spring setting years before hitting the race track, don't remember why, memory loss is starting to set in. There are heim joint lower camber rod which are used to set camber, the cams are set even well because symmetry looked better. T

Had an Auburn differential in for awhile and after track sessions the rear end was over 300*, should of hear it cracking and hopping when manuevring in the pits, also oil was coming out the vent, what a mess, there is also a Derale cooler there also. The cooling fan turns on at 160*. I use standard 80w140 oil. T

dang, track racing must really stress it, not familiar with auburn unit, I have a Moroso Brute Strength posi 12 bolt unit in my 72 GS 455 with 488's and run their climbing gear lube and never had a problem but only run it on the street and 1/4 mile once in a while. For the vette I just used delco lube with posi additive based on forum feedback
