Default mirror options 75 vert

Today is the beasties 45th birthday. Trying to get it a little bit prettier. All the mirrors in the door latches out so I could get the paint stripped off the doors and I found some real nice Bubba stuff. I had no idea you can use aluminum body tape as a helicoil. And you know the little clips that hold all the latch and lock rods on? You don't need to bother with that stuff. Just use silicone. What are the options for a pair of left and right mirrors for these cars that works well enough so you can see over the rear quarters and doesn't look like you got 05 Accord mirrors on it? Should have posted this in general not Tech.

Option number one I guess. Is there something out there later model more common cheaper that looks good on these cars?

With convex glass on the passenger side, you can see everything there just fine. As long as the glass on the driver's side is properly adjusted I have no problem knowing what's going on. Putting C6 mirrors on these cars is just disproportionate to the car's styling. Might as well hang a couple of truck mirrors out there. The problem you will have is the sport mirrors need to be forward of the chrome mirror and those holes don't match up to the best mounting position.

I have the stock L & R chrome mirrors on my 75 and they work just fine.
Right was installed as a dealer option.
I acturally prefer the chrome mirrors, but some do not, it fits with the 75 era look.

BTW, mine had it's 45th in April.

Mounting holes wouldn't be an issue. I am at the moment trying to give it the birthday gift of primer. Keep finding another Nick to fill in another block of original paint to scrape off. But he's just about there.

If you decide to do it, let me know and I will send you some pictures of the internals.

I have chrome LH & RH on my 75 vert,, They work fine for me,,, Im six foot tall, can see pretty well over quarters, and the top is down 99% of the time, and that makes visabity even better,,, Other than " truck like " mirrors, not many good looking options,,,,,

I just have the chrome driver's side mirror. Works fine. Never need the passenger side one, especially with a vert, just turn my head. When driving with top up (rarely), I am just more conscious of traffic. Never been an issue in 28 years.
