Borgeson Steering Kit Issues
I’ve been a long time reader but never had to post a question as I’ve usually always found the answer until now. I’ve recently finished a restoration on a 1971 corvette auto. I upgraded the steering to a borgeson kit and I have followed all of the steps with bleeding the system. I’ve lifted the front and gone wheel to wheel lock over and over for 20 times at least. I’ve done this with both engine running and then engine off to get all bubbles out. However I’m still having issues as when the car first starts I have perfect steering but after approx 5 mins of driving i lose all Power steering and I have no sign of any leaks, bubbling/ frothy oil or anything.
I’ve also done a full fluid flush with new new fluid added
I thought it may have been a heat issue but oil temp when it stops working is 90 degrees Celsius which is 194f. Is this too hot and could this be causing my issues?
any help would be greatly appreciated

When I did this install on my 79, the power steering pump was the only part I kept. Then it developed a severe leak, and I replaced it with a rebuilt unit. Not really the same symptoms, but perhaps the same solution would work for you.
