measure the center to center of the two slots and the dimension between the two sides the offset cam rides in. if same length and cam mounts same size, it will do the trick. price is hard to beat. and i have NEVER heard of an OEM strut rod bracket splitting and bending. and IT says GM on it and they ain't out of bidness...

While we're on the subject, does anybody know the purpose of the adjustable aftermarket rods? You already have camber adjustment with the concentric bolts... Is the adjustable rod just to add even more camber adjustment, or make smaller adjustments or something?

You should lock-out the concentric bolts- and just use the threaded rods to adjust- no need for both...

Ok, that makes sense. It seemed redundant to me. It turns out I think my rods are pretty worn too. I think I'm just going to throw the bracket back in once repaired, and line it up the best I can for now. I'm still planning on doing Vansteel coilovers in the rear this winter, so I will probably just re-do all that then.

Here's what all 4 ends of the rods look like. The integrity of the bushing seems alright (no cracking or anything), but I'm guessing that inner sleeve shouldn't have so much play right? Worst case if I put them back in for now I'll just have some movement in the camber during cornering?

Like I said, this winter I plan on pulling the diff to correct some end yoke play, converting to rear coilover to match the new coilovers in the front, and I'll re do all that as well.

It's my understanding that the VB&P bracket relocated the mounting point of the struts (lowered them) to reduce camber change through the suspension travel.

Thanks for the info. Yeah for now I'm sticking with the VBP bracket.

Correct- I made a spacer for my stock bracket

Here's a GREAT write up on how to convert to heim joints- that's the ticket

BTW- Vansteel is a great choice for your suspension

Yeah that's what I was looking at, seems like the best idea. I just don't want to go through the trouble of setting it all up now just to take it apart in a few months. I should be alright driving with those ends like they are now right?

I love my Vansteel front so far! Top notch quality!

All better! He straightened and welded the broken side, and then added a couple beads on the other side to reinforce it and hopefully prevent the same issue on that side.

I marked both eccentric bolts before removing them, but that didn't help a whole lot, the camber is (not surprisingly) definitely off. I'm hoping to get it in after hours tonight and do a 4 wheel alignment to get the rear, but also the front with the new coilover setup all squared away. Then I can finally really test out the new coilovers/sway bar/spreader bar, and 18s with new tires!

He didn’t add any steel to the bracket for reinforcement?

I would have boxed it in.... can't tell if he added anything to prevent another rip/tear. Did he?
