Default Breast pump brake bleed

Yep, you read that correctly.

Six years ago, I watched my wife use an electric breast pump, and all I saw was a brake bleeder.

Two kids and six years later, I used it today on the Corvette. My brakes were soft, and now they are firm.

Into the toolbox with the breastpump for next time. Dont knock it till ya try it.

I refuse to go to Wally world to buy a breast pump no matter how good it works!

What did you do to seal the bleeder threads to keep the air out?

I like the clever reuse of equipment.

I had a mighty vac that I managed to break not too long ago. I used all of the fittings from that, and adapters to go to the smaller pump hoses.

I haven't done pushups in a while, so any pictures other than the set up onto the car will be a disappointment

Just looked at a picture of one, you sure it was the brakes you were bleeding?

This is pretty much the same one. Obviously its the pump and hoses Im using, not the bottles and cups

In fact here's the exact one on eBay, for peanuts.

How are you setting it up? Is it merely watching the bubbles in the hose and closing the bleeder when there are none?
I feel vacuum bleeding is a better method than pressure bleeding. Much less complicated in setup. I have a regular Gast vacuum pump but haven't attempted to use it for bleeding as I'm a little concerned it's too strong. I wonder if the breast pump system would be less aggressive.
