Default Windscreen Header and T Top bar sealer

Hi guys,

I'm about ready to re fit my stainless trims and header corners and want to know exactly how people have been sealing them, I was ready to use dub's method of pumping CRL7708 into the cavities but I can't get it in Australia (Found 1 supplier and they're out of stock).

What other methods have people been using?

I'm in Australia as well. Did mine just a couple months ago. 3M Strip-caulk. Got mine off of Amazon. Have more than half left.

Thanks 4 Vettes,

Where do you apply the strip caulk? Do you have any photos? Cheers

Actually the factory assembly manual drawings are very clear on this. I'm thinking perhaps the service manual as well. But basically along the leading edge, the raised up portion. Let me take a look. I'll get back to you.

This is my car just before in the stainless center T bar went in. Note the raised up portion of the frame just behind the glass? That where the strip caulk go's. Corner sections go in first. And place caulk on raised section then wrap it over the corner peice where the clip nut is. To seal t bar to corners. Also need to caulk at the rear of the t bar.
certainly you must have removed the old stuff??
