crappy brake light switchs

In the fifty or so years I've had GM products, I've only ever replaced one switch. Is it possible the mounting bracket is out of line, too close to the pedal, something like that?

Everything is tight and correct bracket wise.. The OEM switch lasted forever but in the last 15 years or so I've had to replace 3 of them. The last one, in a GM Delco box, lasted about 3 years. Was hoping someone could recommend a good vendor or brand.........Thanks for the reply...........Bob

CRAP, hate to hear that, I just replaced my brake switch, and had to remove the inst panel because I not able to reach under the dash age 76 project took 3 daze.....Floriduh heat and humidity I only good for one T shirt in about 30 minits time, so 2-3 shirts and I"m outta there, fans or not......PITA!!!! literally, because I looking forward to spine surgery, pinched nerve.....
