Door Panels and such
Guess the Driver's Door on my '76 has been apart one too many times. There is fore and aft, a spring clip that slides into an area on the panel. Then these clips get screwed into the door itself.
Well guess what? :o Now when I shut my door the inner panel flops at my feet because the area that is supposed to hold these spring clips is busted off. I can still screw the clips to the holes in the door but it does not a bit of good since they are not attached to the door panel.
How to fix this without it looking like Bubba was here? :smash:
I've had the same trouble. I repaired the area with fiberglass strips. The resin soaked into the fiberboard and has held up well. I also built up an area next to the clip and attached some velcro to the panel and doorframe. Now I have to riiiiip my panel off.
