Does that have both AFR and Lambda? Can you switch between AFR and Lambda?
I was looking at the AEM website and it looks like that 30-4110 has both lambda and AFR depending on the faceplate that you use.

Yes
Different faces (as well as black/silver) and there is a little screw in the back of the gauge that switches between A/F and Lambda as well as E85, Ethanol and I think it did methanol as well

Why the 30-300 vs. the 30-4110?

From what I understand, The 30-300 is the newer version. If you can get a decent price on it I'd go for the 30-300 (also smaller)
For me it was another $75 so I stayed with the older style

Easier and quicker to read initially for saftey concerns. The 300 is also closer in size to other aftermarket gauge opennings for more intall options. These gauges should be at eye level as much as posible as to keep eyes on the road. You will find yourself constantly checking on the readings in the beginning and can be a definite distraction. Keep in mind if you dont care for the appearance of the gauge it doest have to stay in your car. After successful tuning just remove it and box it up.

And I've got about 12 miles on my 30-4110 and it seemed to have worked good for about 4 of those.
Now it just instantly climb from 14.7 up to off-scale 3 dashes regardless of if the car is even running, hot cold, it's faulting out.
Just sent off an email to their tech-support but as I feared (see my posts 12 and 15 above), there seems to be some kind of problem with these now or a bad batch is out there and I've got another one to add to the list

I wonder if it's the sensors? My understanding is that there were only two manufacturers of these in the world Bosch and NGK

AEM Tech just emailed and they think I "may be experiencing premature failure of your sensor"....

We'll see. I just sent all the contact info they requested. I'm in Ontario - Canada so I hope I don't have to send it to California for examination or something....

when mine was bad out of the box they told me to send a picture of the sensor with the wires cut and they would send a new one.

Finally got a response from AEM (I had to call after not hearing anything for a few days) , they are warrantying the sensor, cut the wire and sent picture like pspicci above had to (glad I didn't have to send it back to California)
While talking to their tech support, apparently there was a suspect batch of sensors that were used and they are sending a new Bosch sensor out that should be fine. (I will note that that sensor that failed has no markings on it what-so-ever that would tell you the brand)
For now I've blocked of the exhaust bung and we'll try again when the new sensor arrives in a few weeks

I think I'll gather all the info and imaged and put together a separate post to stop screwing this one up any futher

I have looked at many, but it seems like the reviews are all over the place. A lot of reviews say the gauges are not accurate and many flat out fail after a short time
Does anyone have any first hand experience and suggestions? Not only in car, but maybe external analyzers that you insert in the exhaust pipe?
This is what I use on my 78 ZZ383 & holley avenger 770.

http://www.zeitronix.com/ .

I don't have a gauge mounted and only use the output to my laptop. Records real time data, also mapped with my RPM , Map sensor, so I can also set timing using a programable MSD 6530 controller.
