I need new plugs and wires..I wanna go with Accel stuff if possible..price is fair and reasonable..I need shorty plugs cause I just installed Dougs headers..seems like car has a very mild cam..it’s a 75 350 4-speed..only thing I plan on doing is new heads and a really HOT cam..what Accel plugs and wires do I need to get?
Well, I'll try to answer this with honesty.
for quality/price, I would be looking at Standard Motor Products brand wires. OEM quality for a fair price. With Headers most likely you'll want universal cut to fit wires and crimp your own ends type wires to get them just right.
As per spark plugs, when you change heads you will need different plugs. That will depend on the heads you get. However, I would be looking at NGK brand plugs, never had any luck at all with Accel plugs.

Go to the Summit Racing website and enter your make, model, year and look in the ignition section.
With that being said I bought a junk Accel distributor cap and rotor last year and promised no Accel ever again. $.02. The distributor cap was too big. Once clamped down I could move it about 1/8 inch in every direction. Guess the diameter was incorrect.
I use the Accel ceramic wires, pricey but if you're worried about burning your wires because of the headers,I'd go with them.
I had no choice but to use those wires with my previous engine. Kept burning through boots otherwise. Summit sells a set of these now with their brand on them that are a little cheaper than the Accels.

If you're getting the Summit ceramics, make sure to get the Universal set vs. the fitted set because the fitted are way off. Also get the angled boot version - the straight one hits the steering box on my 427.
Napa Belmar makes a nice set of wires too less than 30. Ill never pay a lot for wires again way better quality that summit brand or some of the more $$ stuff.
