Use the Bilstein sport shocks not the HD for a composite spring. Ive tried both and suggest the HD for steel spring and Sport for composite spring at least that is what worked best for me with a 330 lb VBP spring. HD on the front and Sport on the back seems to be a good combination.

Whenever I hit a speed bump like obstacle, when I get off of it, the rear kinda slams down uncomfortably.
I have a 340# composite spring and gas-a-just dampers. My guess is Bilstein HD dampers would solve this ?

I gave up my Gas-A-Just shocks for the Bilsteins HDs after I installed my composite spring. The HDs were much better. The rear is a still a little stiff and bouncy unless the road is very smooth. Some have suggested the ideal combination is Bilstein HDs in the front and Bilstein Sports in the rear with a composite spring.
About any good gas shock would solve your problem. Your rear shocks are shot if the rear bounces over a 'speed-bump' (at slow speed). Bilsteins would be best. Go with B8's in the rear and B6's in front.....unless you have changed front springs to stiffer pieces---then go with B8's all around.

First off, NOT any gas shock will correct the bouncy ride using a composite spring. In fact, most gas shocks will NOT fix that issue! You need the correct gas shock that is valved with proper compression and rebound characteristics to address this characteristic.
I mentioned the Bilstein Sports (30% stiffer than the HD's) back in this thread from 2009. I replaced the Bilsteins HDs all around, front and rear, with Bilstein Sports, in the rear only, around 2006, which did solve the bouncy ride of my VBP 360 monospring that I installed myself in 1986 and had been used with KYB Gas A Just, Konis, and Bilstein HD's only. At that time I got lots of questions about mixing the Sports with HD's which is very common in racing, but pretty new to C3 owners at that time. The Bilstein Sports in the rear only with HD's up front will solve your issue.
With a 360 lbs spring, I had the HD's first and it did improve the bouncy issue, but not eliminate it. The Sports with my 360 spring solved the problem and since the OP has a 340lbs spring, my guess is that the Sports will work better as a resolution to the issue, since the difference in ratings is very small, 20lbs.
