That's the number but my old one shows 3 Prongs only. That one has 4 prongs. If you have one out, send me the number. Don't pull your dash.
Thanks
Ted
Do you use both relays or have you pulled them and jumpered the Anti Dieseling relay plug.
Here ya go Ted,
I was too curious, I pulled the dash and looked at the relays. From my research online, I found that the relay on the left should be part #3996203, and the relay on the right should be part #3996204. Here is what I found behind my dash: The numbers match what I found online, note that there is a black wire with lug under the mounting screw on relay #3996204. Also, both relays have 3 prongs.

No problem Ted, I know you were really trying to resolve your AC issues. This was the first time my relays were touched since my car was assembled.
I was glad to help and hope everything works out.

Wish center console gauges were that easy to replace.
3996203
GM 6273301
Bought this one,,, the last I could find. Did cross reference. It is described as Anti dieseling blocking relay. Thanks for pulling ur dash and sending that pic.
Thanks
Ted
That is the one I needed. The 3996204 is called ant dieseling relay which is a thermal fuse.
The 3996203 is a anti dieseling blocking relay. I took your info and treid to find one. The cross reference gm number 6273301 came up. Found only one. Bought that..

OK, thanks. I corrected my previous post to reflect what you posted. Maybe someone else could use this information in the future.
Hope your new relay resolves your AC.

Dave,
Installed new relay, everything works as should on AC and both relays sending signal to compressor and the new shutting down high speed blower.
One issue when turning on AC one relay has a tinging humming noise.
Is that usual???

I never noticed a relay humming noise. Which relay is it? Maybe insufficient supply voltage or bad coil.
I posted on a different thread just a couple of days ago after noticing my relays both disconnected on my 71BB. Definitely intentional as both connectors are wrapped in electrical tape. Any thoughts as to why they would be purposefully taken out?

Are there any jumpers plugged in on the connectors?
