I am embarking on removing a very difficult 1/2 bolt holding the fuel lines near rocker..the clamp requires thin wall and tight clearance....no swivel socket reaches., no flex gear wrench will grab, 1/4 socket got one offwith pliers but no room to get socket off
.i did find one wrench and drove 20 miles to get it
here... https://www.northerntool.com/shop/to...2495_200612495
Believe it or not the flat side fits nicely on bolt but the side that sticks out...which i need!!! Is too tight to fit on bolt..i tried several bolts...and went back and tried another wrench in stock...exactly the same! I brought representative bolt with me..
what are those wrenches called?
anyone have another brand or thoughts? I think this wrench would have worked if it fit the damn bolt on one side not fitting
No go withput hammering it on..other side perfect fit...of course

Not seeing exactly what you are tryng to do, but if it involves a clamp on the fuel lines down there I had a problem also. I ended up taking a screwdriver and wedging it between the bolt head and the clamp. Then twisting and turning while trying to open up the space between the head and the clamp so that a normal wrech would fit. I used a box one like Mooser showed. On another one I took a regular wrench and ground down the open end part to about half the thickness of the original one. I usually keep these SPECIAL tools, just in case I need to use them again. Which I never will.

nothing will work on the one except probably that socket and steel less than half inch posted..i wish the made a damn wrench like the one i tried...
these..not enough clearance for offset wrench
Cant remember which one is the bitch..

I found a 75 degree drop boxed end wrench will fit almost all of them but they need to be the sharp drop style
I cut a cheapo 1/2" socket and weld it to a strip of metal for a handle
That got into the ones back by the dog-leg kick ups

Thank you !
not as good as yours but i got it to turn! The quickjack is in way bit i still got a turn on it..
first weld didnt hold turned up heat..note to self use 12 point next time
did you replace your lines without moving body?
where are the gears for the wrench? Half angle iron..warrior harbor freight quick change hacksawed..not pretty

I did the fuel and return on the passenger side while the rear end was out (apparently it's not possible to change those lines with the body on but I didn't know that at the time so I did it anyway) and the tank vapour / brake lines on the drivers side as well
Fishing the gas lines up over the kink-up was like those little toys with the interlinked twisted metal rods that you need to take apart but with much screwing around it's possible. If I had to do it again I'd split the lines and add a junction at the rear corner
Not sure what you mean by the gears for the wrench? (I take it as sarcasm but I take everything that way
