Default Intake manifold for 69

Hello

Looking to buy an aluminum intake for my 69 390 horse am wondering if these items were pretty standard or are there different variations for that year and engine type? Thanks ! Also for this model type they were aluminum from the factory correct?

The part number is 3947801 and is aluminum and uses a spread bore carburetor.
What is on the car now?

You might want to check that casting number - I don't show that being a real number. Is it possible that it's actually a 3955287..? This is the closest number for an oval-port cast iron manifold casting number for a big block, and it's the number for a '70-'71 402 (LS3).

Before looking for an intake, you probably want to check and verify if you have rectangular port heads or oval port heads - if the intake has been swapped out, maybe the heads have, too. This will limit what you need to search for when looking for a factory aluminum intake. If you have the stock oval-port L36 heads, the intake manifold you need is a 3947801, and it looks like this:

The 3947801 is the only aluminum Q-Jet 427 manifold used by the factory. Other big block Q-Jet manifolds were cast iron, and other aluminum manifolds were square-bore Holley designs. You can expect to pay around $800 - $1000 for a nice 3947801.
