Default Machine Shop Recommendation (Phoenix)

Hello...I'm looking for a machine shop recommendation in the Phoenix area. Heads will be new, so I just need basic block and balancing services on a 1969 350ci. I'm in Fountain Hills, so something in the east valley would be preferred. Thanks for your help!

I can’t help you with a shop recommendation, but just to rain on the parade a bit... Even though the heads are “new” if they’re mass produced over the counter heads I’d consider having whatever machine shop you end up trusting tear them down and just be sure that things are right. It’s not unusual to have brand new mass produced heads have issues with seat to guide alignment.

That aside, please post up your results when you do find a good shop. I plan on relocating to Tucson in about a year and would like to know of a good shop in that area also.

I lived in Fountain Hills for 30 years (been in the valley most of my life). I had two shops that I used, but unfortunately one closed when the owner retired and the other went out of business.

For my LS7 build, an individual I trust recommended I use:

Teague Speed Racing
2853 S 44th St, # 105
Phoenix, Arizona 85040

but have yet to use them yet.

I've heard both good and bad things about Beck Racing and about Outlaw Race Engines. I've known people who say "I had an engine built buy (insert either) and it was fantastic" yet had equal numbers tell me their work was garbage and required rebuilding. So.....

Restarting older thread. Looking for shop in Phoenix area for rebuild of a stock 350 in my 1972. Car is used for shows, parades and pleasure driving so want to keep it numbers matching stock but massage the internals for a little more fun.
Thanks
Greg
