ok i will def check that. Once the engine is shut down on a carbed car does the residual pressure bleed off pretty fast? I have a pinch valve regulator by the car so i know any pressure im seeing is just the pinch valve holding it but i was curious. As of right now shes firing up fine after the timing and choke fixes. Ill wait until tomorrow to see what a cold start is like. As of right now its doing way better than it ever has thanks to you guys. These plugs you speak of...what they be on a carter afb as well? I have one off the car so i figure i can snap a photo of it and you can show me what youre talking about. I DO feel like its flooding but then it acts likes its lean. But this may have all been related to a poorly adjusted and functioning choke.
Yeah it actually is totally flooded, but after starting initially there is nothing in the carb to keep it running until the bowls fill back up.

ok i was about to post a photo of mine as i saw those plugs. So anyway today i started it cold. Filmed it. Im gunna be so annoyed if i dug too deep into this and it was just too much timing and a messed up choke. It lit right off.

Once she gets past that initial stumble, she sounds pretty sweet. You might find it helpful to run some fuel system cleaner in your tank for a couple of fill ups to see if that helps finish it off.

Thank you. So as of now...this is what the car acyually looks like haha. So i fill her up with a 6 gallon jug i have that has ethanol and marvel mystey added to it prior to going into anything i own. It seems to be working well as prior to this it would plug up filters pretty good but it seems to have gotten past that.
My other toy is this one which is more my speed as i did calibration for many years.
i will keep everyone posted on what it does over the next few days.

I have had many many corvettes over the years that looked exactly like your cool project at some point in their life
Alright gentlemen I know its been awhile (got myself a tbss that needed a bunch of work) but I got it solved. It w as in fact that fast ignition module..I reinstalled the points and it fires up immediately with the flick of a key. It idles up as it should etc etc. I should have listened to my gut months ago but I guess I was afraid to reinstall the points for some reason. I appreciate all the help gentlemen. It might not be the fault of the module, maybe it needs a full 12v., maybe the body harness being a butchered mess was part of the problem...who knows. I'll just keep it old school.
You guys are great. Thank you for the suggestion and I should have listened to the people who also said to swap it back to points.
