Default Need help now. TH400 Cooling Lines - Flex line Size

Running TH400 in my 74,
What diameter flex lines do i need to connect the hard lines to the rad inlet / outlet.
I have 5/16 now and they are a HUGE pain in the butt to connect to the hard lines.. im guessing this hose is the wrong diameter. Its taking WAAAY to much force to get the hose on.

Thank you

Stu

I'm thinking 3/8 ID or so, but the best thing to do would be to pull off the upper fitting from the radiator and take that to the parts store to be sure you are getting the right size.
