Default Headlight Wiring Harness

Installing new harness on 1970 corvette. Notice that the opening at the radiator support where the old wiring and vacuum lines run through is narrow. Should the wiring/connectors be pulled through that narrow opening or should the vacuum lines be removed and then pulled through. Or, is there another way of doing this?
I do appreciate any response.

Default Huh?

Actually that space looks good size. I’d pull them at The same time. Also the drivers side outside headlight wire from the harness must be pulled enough. It when you raise the headlights it will strain there.

Thanks for the pics and suggestions. I have to be very careful not to damage any of the connectors when fishing through that opening.

I think, given the funky shapes of the connectors on the harness, the easiest threading would be to pull the vacuum lines out of the passage to clear the way. Probably disconnect from the headlight side and pull back toward the engine. Once the connectors are all pulled through, the wire harness shouldn't impede the vacuum hoses from going back through.

On my 69, there was no way the plugs would fit through the opening. I ended up removing the wires in the plugs and replacing after I ran the wires through. Either that or loosening radiator support but don’t advise doing that.
