my good find.......
i bought this from a deputy i work with down at the jail, i got both the carb and the intake for $100, i think i got a good deal,,,,never built a carter though. How good are these carbs, compared to a holley or a quad?? Im taking the intake to get it beadblasted (media blasting) this week,then i will polish the inside of the intake (edlebrock torker) and then get it powdercoated in clear. How will this little combo work together?

The Edelbrock IS a Carter. They bought the tooling from Carter and market it as thier own. That torker came off of an early SB, before they had valve covers will fill caps in them. If you use it on a later model engine, you have to remove the fill pipe and block that hole with a soft plug (freeze plug). I guess you already know it won't fit under a vette hood :nonod:
