Default Installing a soft top on 68 corvette

My corvette came from the factory with a hardtop, it has never had a soft top. Does anyone know what to do about the plugs in the holes where the bolts go for the pivot arm? Is there a bracket under there with threaded holes?

I would think the B pillar would have the caged nuts in there for the softop frame to mount.

Do you have any pics of the plugs?

i've never seen them and would like to. Wonder if they similar the red plastic body plugs that went into the rockers under the sill plates and the seat belt shoulder retract-er plate in the rear wheel well?

They seem to be aluminum. I can take some pictures but I pried the head off one.....I thought it might pop out, but it doesn't
