hi all, still waiting for my 72 coupe to leave the New Jersey docks on its voyage to the uk.most cars in the uk are undersealed to protect the chassis etc from road salt ,wet and corrosion. this Vette was body off restored ,the chassis painted gloss blacktop make it easy to wash. don't really want to underseal all on top of the restored chassis, so asking what people do on here to protect but also keep it looking freshly restored?
The car won't see much wet road use but being in the damp SW of the UK a good chance of getting caught out in a shower. does any one advocate the cleaning and then wiping over underneath with a lightly oiled cloth or are there rust inhibitors out there that can be sprayed on. many thanks
This.
Coat the inside of the frame. You can do while the car is assembled. It'll never show.
The frames on these rust from the inside out.
It has a little plastic hose that lets you get deep inside.
Get two cans.
I'll be doing mine next week.
