Regular No-name type LED in the rear and side marker lights (front and back) but needed to run the Sylvania in the front 1157 for them to work.
Now, it's possible that I just got lucky and the rear ones are wired internally like the sylvania ones are and not the way a lot of them are (that cause this issue)
I'm going to the garage and I'll see if I have a spare bulb that I used in the back and I can check how it's grounded

Nope, the rear LED are the same "cheap" style as the ones that don't work if they are in the fronts. Read lights are on a separate circuit so don't have that issue with the cross flashing.
Cheap one on the left, works fine if the lights are off, stops blinking if the lights are on (side keeps going)
The Zevo as well as the Phillips on the right both work properly.
This is the no-name side marker LED
I checked and I'm running a ground wire electronic flasher with the reverse adapter

Thanks Mooser that is a huge help. I have the cheap amber ones (like on the left) in the front. I saw on Amazon the Sylvania 1157 in Amber so I may switch them out to try. Right now I can put either RED Leds in the rear/Regular bulbs in the front or vice versa and It works. But I would love to have LED all around. I ordered the Relay with the ground and polarity changer as well. Hopefully it works. Thanks again for you input.
Hi, Steve. Interesting to hear your experience with Sylvania bulbs. I just received my new headlight switch and ground. I will install
and report back. I hope this finally solves the problem. Cheers!
Yeah I don't want to either Ok So I got the Sylvania 1157s and installed them in the rear....and no luck. They work perfectly without the headlights on, but once on no turn signals. I was wondering in this thread, if the Sylvania user was putting them in the front and rear? My Front LEDs are amber 1157 replacements from Amazon. Just a thought. Anyway I await your install and update.
Hi, Steve
Just completed the install of my Headlight Switch with Ground strap. It took awhile to get the ground lined up with the opening in the dash and switch. The Good news it Worked! All my LED lights work fine including the signal lights with headlights on or off. The
lights look great and are so much brighter that the stock bulbs. The side lights work too. The part # is 123550 (Headlight Switch\works with LEDS) and part #392165 (Headlight Switch Ground Str.). Both from Eckler's.
Good luck and let me know how you make out. Cheers.
Dutch that is great to hear! Nice job! Ok I will order both parts today. Any hints on where to attach that ground??? Just drill into the cage? I was just gonna order the ground strip, but for $35 it is probably worth it since my dome light does't come on from there.

Thanks Again!
My '78 had a ground screw and wire connection about 3 inches from the ignition switch already attached to the fender cage. I just ran a wire from the ignition ground over to the screw and attached it there. Worked like a charm. Good Luck. You're almost done!

Hey So I got the parts in....this ground just sits against the switch..under pressure from the ****?? It just sits here?
Yes. Exactly as you have it shown. The small hole points towards the left fender. The ground bracket is held in place by the switch. Once installed, run a ground wire from the small hole on the ground bracket to the metal frame. That’s it. However, it did take me a number of try’s to get the ground bracket positioned correctly in front of the switch. Good luck. You’re almost there.
Sorry I did not get to it, I looked the other day though....I am having a tough time seeing the switch from underneath the dash. What is the best first step in your opinion? Remove the Vent or start somewhere else.
Hi, Steve. Yes. Remove the vent (2 screws). Then push button on the bottom of the light switch to remove the light switch ****. Then unscrew the bolt holding the switch in place. Remove the switch. That’s where you add the ground and then re-install. Hang in there. You can do it...
