Default Pinion torque

I replaced the pinion seal on my 69 and am having a problem finding the torque specs for the pinion nut. I went on U tube and most people counted the turns as they took off the nut (of which I didn't do) so I need a little help.
Thanks

I used a witness mark when I did mine.
Gary's thread might help you since he mentioned using a witness mark along with checking the torque.

There is no torque rating for the pinion yoke nut unless you have installed a solid sleeve in place of the original crush sleeve. The sleeve is crushed until the correct rotational drag is reached on the bearing preload. 15-20 in/lb with new or 5-7 with used bearings.
If you didn't mark it then you need to carefully bring the yoke in until it hits the bearing, then enough to get to the 5-7 in/lb on the used bearings. Now with that said I know plenty of old timers would just bring it in until it was snug and leave it. Too tight and the bearings will bind and wear, too loose allows play in the pinion and under launch will move back and crash into the posi case.

Is there a standard pinion nut TQ spec when using a solid sleeve? Or is it determined by the solid sleeve manufacturer?
