Power Steering Pulley offset
to the belt drive, the power steering pulley is wobbling, and set back from the others. Is it the wrong pulley? All the other belts look to be in line.
Previous garage that worked on it before I bought it missed something on each repair they did; i.e., rebuilt carburetor and forgot to put the fuel filter in it. What did they do wrong with the pulley? How many different ways can this be messed up? How do I correct this? I have bought 1 pulley since and don't know if it's the right/wrong part, or if it's all about how far they pressed this one on. Can anyone enlighten me?

From front to back on the engine pulley power steering, air-con - waterpump, and alternator-water pump in last grove. Mine all look lined up and straight. I've changed belts. Waterpump, and powersteering pump over the years. but all stock standard.
your photo is taken from the other side. Hard to see what's going on. Looks like maybe you have an airpump on yours, mine never had one.

You might try loosening the accessory and making sure it is pulled back evenly to the mounting surface, then snug and tighten the bolts, keeping the accessory pulley straight and inline with the other pulleys.
I had a safety inspection done on my 73 bb after I purchased it.
One of the few items they found of concern was that the alternator bracket was cracked and needed to be replaced.
I couldn't even see the crack but the technician pointed it out and told me it is common to for them to find cracked accessory brackets during their inspections.
You may want to remove and inspect the accessory bracket, compare what you have to the AIM to insure it hasn't been replaced with an aftermarket one and that it was installed correctly.
Do you have a forward pulley in front of the main 2 groove crank pulley? I cannot really see from your picture. If so, then give us the pulley numbers off the PS pulley and the forwardmost crankshaft pulley (the one in front)......these pulleys have to match or it will not seat appropriately into the main 2-groove pulley.
You may have the wrong forward pulley. If you can get the main crank pulley number also(the 2-groove) we can find and/or verify that you have the correct forward pulley.
I have a ton of info from fixing mine .....

But post the pulley numbers and we can see if they can be matched up with other alternate pulley numbers.
The Power Steering pulley should no be wobbling at all so take a look at that..... but really, get us the numbers. See below that 2 different crank pulleys (2 groove main) were used.....so have to be aware that optional pulleys may be installed. http://gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=40236
By the way- you're a lucky guy... the 1978 Corvette Assembly Manual is the only one that I've seen for Corvettes on gmpartswiki....
