Just changed my techometer circuit board on my 79
now its working but i found out that when i turn the switch on the needle seats a little under the 0
so i assume that when the engine running its read lower numbers then the engine actually runs
Shouled i pull the neddle out turn the switch on to get the proper zero and put the neddle back or i need to calibrate from the potentiomeeter on the circuit board?
kind regards
Tom
Yup clear directions ..i got the willcox board and it fixed my tach and yes you need to zero it with voltage..
for whatever reason mine very slowly drops from cold accurate zero reading to drop about 4-500 rpm off at idle low..when running or ignition on..still have not figured it out.
