Hi, I have a 1968 Convertible and the clutch is starting to slip when I get down on it so I’m thinking it’s time to replace the clutch. I don’t race the car or spin the tires but I do drive aggressively at times. I want a clutch that will last and stand up to the power the engine is producing, around 500hp. My engine is not original or stock obviously. I also don’t want anything that’s too hard to engage the pedal. What are your thoughts?
I have a McLoed dual disk clutch in my 70. I've never driven it, so my comment here is not too useful. I understand that the dual disk clutches achieve great lock up forces with reduced clutch pedal forces. Note: A McLoed dual disk clutch is not the same as MdLoed's dual friction clutch. Their "dual friction" clutchs have only one clutch disk.......this clutch disk has different friction material an each side of the disk......hence dual friction.
Any comments about dual disk clutchs?
