I have to agree with the others,it takes a real fanatic to bring a car home and rip the front glass off! As others have said, most vendors sell the glass parts. Riks and volunteer products have good prices. The one piece front ends are a bit eaiser to install unless you just want the original bonding strips.Good luck and welcome.
How about a little list of what you are planning to do to it...
Well for now Im going to rebuild the 350 thats in it but eventually I want to throw a big block in it, just to keep the "go-fast" gods happy with me. Unlike my past 3 or 4 projects (mustangs) I want to keep this thing somewhat comfortable to drive but I still want to be able to mash the throttle from time to time and just watch the street curl up under my back tires, :D . Anyway right now Im going to get all the mechanical portion out of the way then start on the a/c and heater then throw some glass on it and run it with some primer untill I can afford to get it painted.
As long as your that far in, be sure and check the area where the firewall bonds to the rest of it. big water leaks to the interior happen here, and you have the luxury of easy access to that area. Check the archives for info. Check for rust in the birdcage (windshield frame) area as well.
