I'm sure he meant the 4 speed model I don't think I ever saw a built turbo 200 handle that power level.
I'm assuming it's. A street car otherwise why the overdrive?

The 200 is all the rage in Stock Eliminator classes now.....gaining in popularity....lightweight and less power to turn as well as low rotating mass....

Sub 1.60 60' and 11.49 through the side pipes is pretty respectable

I know years ago the small block mopar guys went from the 727 to the 904 for that very reason. I thought the turbo 350 would have been the likely option. But there we are!
I guess it's not a new thing the chevy 12 bolt rear robs less power than a 9 inch ford.

Same with Ford guys too , a little C4 will knock off two tenths from a big C6 from less drag and rotating weight

Yep, a 200-R4 4spd and he also has the same trans in his Camaro above that runs 10.50 and carry's the wheels on launch. Not entirely sure if it is any stronger than a 700R4 and may be may a little weaker, but the OD rpm on the 200 is even lower than the 700 while cruising and the gear ratio in the 200 in closer together which unlike the 700 the 1st to 2nd gear doesn't have that large gap (drop) to make up in rpm like the 700 which I actually hate in mine. There is a fix for that, but not sure it is cost effective to do right now unless I have to go through it again. His Camaro puts a beatin' on that trans and it keeps going....and going.
