The procedure in the Corvette Shop Manual was what I used to remove the radiator. The fan shroud is a PITA - several removal techniques in the archives. I ended up removing the fan shroud after the radiator and support were out of the car.

Be sure to carefully check out the radiator support for rust. My radiator support was rusted out along the bottom. Radiator was easy to remove the radiator support is what gave me problems. :smash:

I have tried it 2 ways.1.pull the hood, unbolt the core support and push forward as much as possible, pull fan, pull shroud and pull radiator. It was still a very tight fit.2.The last time I pulled the top a frames, fan, shroud and radiator. For me it was much eaiser.

Having removed the radiator in my 70 since it was new a few times I have a different method that what is in the service manual. I do not remove the hood, but I do put a bolt in the hood support to keep it from closing accidently. I also do no remove the radiator support.
Using a floor jack, I place it under the passenger side lower control arm and remove the wheel. Keeping the spring compressed I remove the upper control arm nuts, remove the alignment shims and tape them together with masking tape and mark them front and rear. Then remove the control arm off the bolts and move it out of the way into the wheelwell.
The bolts that connect the upper control arm have a serrated edge that retains them in the frame bracket. I remove the one closest to the engine to ease removal the upper control arm.
With the control arm out of the way my shroud comes out. I have the big 26 inch small block radiator that comes with air conditioning option and it has the big shroud which has the removalable section over the cars crossmember. With the shroud removed the radiator comes out easily.

Pulling a radiator out of a C3 is a PITA!
Mine was already visited by Bubba so it wasn't too bad. The fan shroud was cut at the bottom so all I had to do was break the zipties and pull the shroud out. Once the shroud is out its easy to get the radiator out. Helps to have a helper. I had to pull it myself and it made it a little harder and more of a chance to scratch something.
