i just picked up a 1981 corvette and was wondering up to what cu. in. engine i can fit.

WOW. Just goggle engine swaps C3 Corvette. Just about everything has been put in these cars. I've seen V12's. Tons of big blocks. LS motors , the sky is pretty much the limit!

cause i want to put a 383 stroker but i was wondering if there would fitment issue and would i have to cut or weld anything

A 383 is just a stroked 350. So the engine dimensions are the same for the 383. No fitment issues per se. Select intake manifold/carb/air cleaner carefully so it can fit under the hood.

Search is your friend, click advanced, title only, enter 383.

but no, should not require cutting or welding for a 383.

Just the height of the carb and air filter is the only issue and that is on every motor. If you use a higher intake and spacers then you need a drop base air cleaner. Just make sure it clears the throttle linkage and the type of choke you have
