Default Distributor Tune Up 1982 CE

Howdy folks, diving a bit in to my 38 year old distributor for no good reason and have come up with a few questions. Oh and by the way, not really having any issues with it, just feel a few things should be replaced. This car sat outside for 18 years in the Pacific NW, driven off and on up to about 5 years ago where it was parked and left. Over the past six months I've rehab'd it back in to decent shape. I should add that it does take a couple turns of the key to get it to fire up.

1. Ignition Coil (Delco Remy Brand) - I have red and white wires, but see quite a few coils that are red and yellow, what's the difference? Can't seem to get a straight answer as both parts are recommended for my 82. Is there a particular coil I should get? Super Coil?

2. Cap and Rotor - A little newer, Mighty Brand?, probably should be replaced? AC Delco Pro brand ok to replace it with?

3. Ignition Module - Have a stock 7 pin one, possibly original, should I replace it? Go with a faster sounding brand that matches the coil?

4. Pick Up Coil - Possibly original. There appears to be a bit of surface rust around around it. Have not removed it yet.

5. The distributor itself- Should I just replace the whole thing? What brand? No vac advance on this if that matters.

Thanks for your help

Cheech

Why? You say you're not having any problems with it. You can complete your tune up without replacing the distributor.

If everything is working you are just throwing money away. If you need to do anything it would be a cap and rotor change. I get ac delco stuff from Rockauto for all my vehicles.

I vote plugs, wires, cap and rotor... that's it unless you have some issue that says otherwise.
When you install the coil into the new cap you'll see that it can only be done one way. Color of the wires is not important because the spade plugs on the coil only go in one way when properly done.
