Crossmember Sombrero bushing mount
Hi, can someone tell me if the metal crossmember Sombrero bushing mounts need to be welded to the frame or not. I broke a bolt in one of them and I'm thinking it may be easier just to replace them since I also need to buy the bushings.

can you post a pic. One of my bolt holes was stripped and I had to tap it for a threadsert. Works fine

I'm a bit confused, Ecklers said it's not welded to the frame , but my crossmember bushings were a bugger to drop down with the bolts off.
I was able to start my way to drill a hole to thread.
does anyone know the drill size I need for me to tap the thread ?
