I'm betting you're putting out exactly what you can expect from the engine (probably in the 350hp net/380 ft/lbs torque range), but you are handicapped with the rest of the driveline not being well matched to take advantage of that power in the range that you are wanting. A change from 3.08 to 3.73 rear end gears would gain you roughly 20% more torque at the rear wheels, which is what it sounds like you are wanting... This would allow that engine to give you the "feel" I think you're looking for. But it's not cheap doing rear end gear swap if you need to hire someone to do it.

I had a feeling you would say that..So im better off currently with this cam as it produces more torque at lower rpms .
If I do go that route ill be pulling a built 200r4 in as well to keep my cruising RPM in check. I swapped out the gears in my old 4 banger lifted jeep years ago from 4.10 to 4.56 gears and I remember the difference was substatial as it brought the final gear ratio back to stock with the bigger 32" tires and I could use 5th gear again.

I am getting some popping vibrations in my rear end when turning at lower speeds once the rear end warms up so maybe I'll be forced to address the rear end sooner than later. I did buy new additive and planned on doing a fluid change first.

If you jet and set up your SA 670 correctly, switching to another carb of similar design will gain you little to nothing. Take the money you're planning on spending on another cheap carb and get a wideband oxygen sensor instead. If you really want to buy another cheap carb, get it from Summit instead - the same carb is $40 cheaper from them than from Amazon. If you're serious about wanting to get a good carb, pony up another $100 - $200 and get a good quality carb. But that still isn't going to get you the power you're wanting... In a car as heavy as a Vette, it takes a power increase of 15 - 20 hp in order for you to be able to feel it "in the seat of your pants." You'll never get a 15 hp power increase by switching carbs to another carb of similar design.

You might wanna try a higher stall torque converter with that 3.08 rear.

higher rpm stall means more torque to the wheels when the torque converter stalls.

I put a 3500 in mine with my 3.08 ( now 3.55) , it made quite a difference in acceleration form a stop vs a lower stall that I had.

With heads headers an air gap intake and 750 quick fuel carb and 3:55 gears and the stock L-82 cam and compression hovering about 10-1 the car would boil the tires. With a 9" 2800 Fti convertor the car is noticibly snappier on part throttle because of the lower reciprocating weight. And at that point drag radials came in the picture. The new cam from Racer Brown this thing sounds like an Animal, because it is.

my understanding of the FST carb was it was a step up from a street avenger in build quality and design being based on a holley with interchangeable parts but having better quality machining and features like 4 corner idle screws, the the float drains and sight glasses and "pressure forged" components as well as stainless linkage components .. FST is supposedly run by the folks from holley and quick fuel.
All that said your completely right about me getting a negligible if any performance boost. At this point it was more about the cosmetic condition of the carb with the corrosion and such being mounted on a polished intake. Well that and reading over and over here what a POS the street avenger carb is here compared to others.. Its been a step up from the 600cfm edelbrock the car came with on the original engine. I will purchase a wideband since its been on my to do list all summer anyhow.
