I searched the forum for info on a good looking, period correct wooden steering wheel that would bolt right on a C3. I bought one and figured I would share in case this helps anyone. All of these Volante wheels bolt right on. The quality is GREAT. They are a little pricey at $150-$200 depending on the wheel. Summit sells them buy the Volante part number. Ecklers assigns their own number. Direct bolt on for my 1969 Tilt/Tele column.
Thanks for posting this! I love the Volante steering wheel in my 80. It's slightly smaller than stock, and looks like it belongs there. I'm glad to hear their other wheels are just as good or better.

I was curious why you used a straight column horn button instead of the horn button made for the tilt/tele column? Just curious, not criticizing in any way--you have a great looking wheel!
The wheel you purchased is very nice looking and does a pretty good job of replicating the appearance of the factory wood wheel.
A price of $99 for the Grant wood wheel (a dead-ringer for the stock wood wheel and normally $299) is an AMAZING buy on Amazon. I would never be lucky enough to find a deal like that!!!
I gotta say, I like the Grant better and would probably go the extra $ for the Grant .
How many times you going to buy a steering wheel so the price difference to me is mute point.
Just my thoughts.

Holy COW!!! You know I NEVER even noticed that! That's Crazy since I have a 1980 corvette and that DOES have the larger (correct) horn button for Tilt/Tele. The 1969 came with that (Wrong) button, and I just figured it was the correct one. That is so funny!

[QUOTE=Primoz;1602534622]I bought Grant classic GM steering wheel when it was on sale on amazon. Got it for $99! http://www.grantproducts.com/products/view/102/[/QUOT
I am considering purchasing the Grant 930 also and was curious if an adapter kit or anything else is needed to install this on a 73 or do I just use the original parts to install this wheel.

Terribly sorry but I didn't install it yet. I'm waiting to the very end of all major works before I install it. I don't want to mess it up with greasy hands.
But with the wheel came the adapter to install it. See the attached picture. These are the installation instructions found on Grant website.
If you don't have a telescoping steering column you may find the grant 930 wheel to have too much of a dish.
This moves the wheel closure to the driver and can make it difficult to get in and out

First off I want to apologize to the OP I didn't mean to steal the post just a spontaneous question regarding the grant wheel. Also thanks to primoz for answering my question.
