Default LS3 /Borgeson Power Steering Problem

I've installed a 2008 LS3 in my 69 Corvette restomod build with a brand new Borgeson quick ratio power steering box. I hooked everything up and bled the system according to Borgeson's directions with the engine running. Unfortunately the effort to turn the steering wheel is the same with the engine running as it is with the engine off. I called Borgeson's tech line and they didn't know the psi rating on the stock LS3 pump but stated it should be in the 1200-1350 psi range. Anyone out there know the psi rating of the stock 2008 LS3 steering pump? Something is not right but this situation has me perplexed at this time!!!!

Stock LS3 GM pumps have a max PSI @ 1500 but that's usually happens if the rack/borgeson unit requires it. With the wheels off the ground PSI will be vary slow, turning the steering wheel with the car stationary will increase the PSI required, and when the wheel locks it will shot to MAX PSI (this is something you don't want to hold very long, blows seals / hoses /connections that are weak) So it may be a flow issue. If fluid doesn't flow from the pump to the box and return you will get no assist. Any chance there is a block in a line somewhere or a hose is not connected to the correct port ?

My first thoughts were similar to what Cagotzmann said - There may have been some kind of debris in the lines that caused a blockage, or the lines may not be connected to the right ports on the steering box.

Get a pressure reducer from Turn one.

Yes the flow reducer orifice is what is required. There are several different GPM ratings.
The max psi of 1200 is practically irrelevant.
The system runs at very low psi running down the road, kind of idling. You need just enough flow & psi then to get a little assist when turning.
If your flow is too low, you get no assist.
See Turn One's site on how to measure your flow orifice, and test your system.
You need more flow. That will give you more pressure at idling speeds.
Go too high on flow and the fluid will overheat and boil over.
2.0-2.6 GPM is the general target.
